This maternity session at Icon Studio in Toronto, Ontario was the perfect mix of editorial and lifestyle photography. The couple wanted a chic, modern feel to celebrate this special season, and Icon Studio’s versatile space gave us the best of both worlds. As a Toronto maternity photographer, I love working in spaces that allow for timeless backdrops while also creating cozy, intimate moments.

One side of the studio features a crisp white backdrop, which gave us the chance to capture bold, editorial-inspired portraits. These photos have a high-fashion feel, putting the parents-to-be at the center of attention while keeping the look clean and timeless. Editorial maternity photography is such a beautiful way to showcase confidence and connection before welcoming a new baby.

The other side of Icon Studio Toronto is designed as a lifestyle space, complete with a couch and warm textures. This setting created the perfect environment for more relaxed and candid moments — cuddles, laughter, and sweet interactions between the couple. Lifestyle maternity photography focuses on capturing those genuine in-between moments that tell a family’s story.
